Background
Context
The existing networking equipment was outdated and could not handle peak seasonal traffic. Wi-Fi coverage was patchy, IPTV was not yet deployed, and guest satisfaction with connectivity was low.
Problem
Guests expected seamless connectivity for both work and entertainment, but the infrastructure lagged behind. IPTV and VoIP promised new revenue streams and better experiences, but reliable high-performance networking was a prerequisite.
Process
Despite a fixed BOQ, no wireless planning had been done. I conducted WLAN planning and full site surveys for 11 hotels to map coverage, capacity, and cabling requirements.
